Project title

Production of prototypes of knowledge models, platform of high-throughput screening of process technologies, biorefineries workbooks and data/information visualization Work packages : : WP1, WP3, WP6.

Supervisor name: Dr Franjo Cecelja or someone with the same level of expertise and /or experience.

Objective

Refining and improving bio-refinery knowledge model in the open-model format and procedure for updating with new knowledge and tacit data - all prepared for expansion

Developing match-making engine for autonomous model integration

Developing semantic web publishing facility: automated generation of wiki and workbooks

Tasks and methodology

Task 1: Based on bio-refining knowledge model developed by ESR6.1, convert the knowledge model (ontology) into a open model format capable of updating with new tacit and explicit (data) knowledge on bio-refining

Task 2: Develop and match-making engine capable of semantic instance matching for model integration and possibly data presentation in requested and user-centric format

Task 3: Develop semantic web publishing facility for tacit and explicit knowledge publication in the form of wiki and/or workbooks.

Results

Deliverable 1: Full heavy-weight bio-refining knowledge model enabled to share and to grow - software tool ;

Deliverable 2: Match-making engine - software tool ; Deliverable 3: Semantic web publishing facility & web service

Dissemination

Year 1: 1 conference presentation + 1 journal paper on bio-refining knowledge model ; Year 2: 1 conference presentation + 1 journal paper on bio-refining wikki and workbook facility

Planned secondment

Secondment 1: Quantis (1 months) Industrial aspects of knowledge modelling

Secondment 2: Imperial (1 months) Visualisation of graphical and other systems
